ATI Pharmacology Practice Assessment A Reflection

ATI Pharmacology Practice Assessment A Reflection

Reflecting on my experience taking the ATI Pharmacology Practice Assessment A, I’d say a lot of things went well. First off, I was confident going into this exam because I had previously taken the pharmacology adaptive quiz and that went very well for me. I ensured that I used tactics I’ve taught myself through the adaptive quizzes, such as utilizing a timer while taking my exam to keep track of my time. I’ll admit, I definitely could have spent more…

ATI Maternal Newborn Adaptive Quiz Reflection

ATI Maternal Newborn Adaptive Quiz Reflection

Reflecting on my experience of the Maternal Newborn ATI Adaptive Quiz, I’d say that I improved in many different categories. First and foremost, I was finally able to increase my average time spent on each question. I got it up to 45 seconds per question. While I would still like to work my way up to over one minute, this is a significant improvement for me over my previous performance. Also, my percent correct went up significantly, by almost a…

ATI Med-Surg Adaptive Quiz Reflection

ATI Med-Surg Adaptive Quiz Reflection

Reflecting on my assessment of the Medical-Surgical ATI Adaptive Quiz, I would say that I improved in terms of some of my test taking strategies. I made sure to be sure to select only one answer and not change my answer once I selected one. I also only made one mistake of rushing through a question when I knew the correct answer but chose the incorrect one due to too little time spent. However, something I still need to work…

ATI Pharmacology Adaptive Quiz Reflection

ATI Pharmacology Adaptive Quiz Reflection

Reflecting on my experience of the ATI Pharmacology Adaptive Quiz, I’d say that I didn’t do too bad considering I took this quiz without any preparation beforehand. I fell right in between the known average of percent correct at 52%, which was very encouraging for me. Scoring up in the 84th percentile was also another encouraging factor for me. Knowing that I did better than or equal to 84% of the individuals taking this exam sounds promising for the next adaptive…

All of those different nurses, with different backgrounds and jobs, all came together to essentially say the same message about the nursing profession. I couldn’t help but feel inspired to hopefully live up to these qualities one day. All of those individuals looked to be very skilled and experienced nurses, and…

Dissemination Project: Educational Pamphlet for Nurses on Fall Prevention After Discharge

Dissemination Project: Educational Pamphlet for Nurses on Fall Prevention After Discharge

This project was very educational for me and my group. I learned so much about this topic and really began to understand the vitality of it in practice. Seeing such a high rate of readmission due to preventable falls at home was very eye opening for me. It is such a large problem and it felt really good to know that I may have helped decrease this number a little and keep a couple patients safe while at home. The…

Dissemination Project: Topic Proposal and Reflection

Dissemination Project: Topic Proposal and Reflection

Reflection The development of our topic was something we took very seriously because we wanted to pick a topic that had a lot of meaning and had the potential to help a lot of patients and nurses. I, personally, was pretty taken back when the clinical nurse educator told my group that readmission due to falls at home were a big issue she was seeing! It seems like such a simple topic to cover during discharge, but apparently some wires…
