Reflecting on my experience of the ATI Pharmacology Adaptive Quiz, I’d say that I didn’t do too bad considering I took this quiz without any preparation beforehand. I fell right in between the known average of percent correct at 52%, which was very encouraging for me. Scoring up in the 84^th percentile was also another encouraging factor for me. Knowing that I did better than or equal to 84% of the individuals taking this exam sounds promising for the next adaptive quizzes I take. Something I believe can help to increase my percentile ranking would be to ensure that I am taking an appropriate amount of time on each question. Currently, I am running an average of less than 30 seconds per question. I should be taking an additional minute per question to be meeting the suggested time period. Also, I believe that when I slow down and take the extra time I still have left to use, it will help to decrease my risk of missing pertinent information in the question. Numerous times did I realize, while remediating, that I knew the correct answer, but read the question too fast and missed important information. I will actively try to slow down and take more time on questions during my next quiz.
