Art and Nursing
This piece of artwork speaks to me about nursing is many different ways. The tree itself represents growth upward, in a positive direction. It also shows how many different paths a nurse can take in their career path. Whether you want to become an advanced practicing nurse, or take an administrative role, or leadership role. Those are only a few, there’s so many other paths one can take! Nursing is such a broad term, and I think a tree does a great job of showing how big the profession is and how many different ways nurses can practice and help others. The colorful representation of the background and leaves also spoke to me as it showed me the different people there are in the world. That the leaves are those we can or have helped as a nurse. There’s so many different people out there all with different needs that we as nurses can help them with. The same could also be said of the different paths one nurse can take. However, I feel the tree is able to represent me, as a nurse, and how I will take many different jobs during my time as a nurse; and the leaves are all of the people I will have helped in my career in different ways.

I love your creativity and links to the nursing career! It was very thoughtful, and goes to show how amazing of a nurse you are going to be!
I love how you made a connection to the different colored leaves and how it reminded you of how many different types of patients you’ll see as a nurse. There really are so many different routes that you can take as a nurse, and I think that this image was a great way to connect all of it!
Aaron, what a beautiful painting! I especially enjoyed reading how this spoke to you of the many branches or specialties available. I also how you identified with the various colors to suggest it represented all the different type of patients affected. Nice job!
